Welcome to Wonderful Walford Nursery!

Spring Term Learning

For the first half of the Spring Term, we will be learning through the question...

'How many nursery rhymes do I know?

This will involve exploring some of the following topics and questions of enquiry: Humpty Dumpty, why did you fall? What made the little dog laugh? Where are you going, Jack and Jill? Where did Goosey Gander wander? What’s in your garden, Mary? Why did the little spider frighten Little Miss Muffet?

For the second half of the Spring Term, we will be learning through the question...

'What would you find at the farm?'

This will involve exploring some of the following topics: chicks/ Easter, farm animals, life cycles of animals, farm transport and animals and their jobs – food and clothing. What happens to the egg? Which foods in Morrisons come from the farm?

It is important to remember that our topics are very much child led, and as a result, learning can often take an entirely new direction!

For more information about our upcoming topics and curriculum links for the different age groups within nursery, please see the attached topic webs below.
