Sports Crew
The Walford Sports Crew are a group of specially trained Year 5 pupils who help lead a variety of physical activities in school encouraging healthy bodies and sports!
They help the school with organising and reporting P.E. and sporting activities both in school and when we compete locally against other schools. They aim to help children improve their fitness and boost their love of P.E. and sport.
Walford's Sport Crew are responsible for organising key events throughout the year, including:
- Nursery, EYFS and KS1 Sport Fun afternoon
- Sports Day for Nursery, EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Special events to celebrate significant sporting events, e.g., Football World Cup, Olympics, etc.
The Sports Crew are also responsible for ensuring the Sports and PE display is kept up-to-date and are the Sports Captains for our houses: Thomas Blake, John Kyrle, Robert Pashley and William Gilpin.
