Our nursery caters for 2, 3 and 4 year olds and is situated in The Boynton Lodge, a homely and cosy environment which combines the outdoors with the indoors, giving every chid the opportunity to thrive and learn in their own unique way. Children have access to a spacious outdoor area, dedicated Mud Kitchen and exciting purpose built soft-play pirate ship area.
The environment created inspires endless curiosity and enables our teachers to nurture children's ideas into incredible learning experiences. Children have many opportunities to explore and play using a variety of high quality resources, which satisfy the emotional, social, physical and creative needs of every child.
The following curriculum enrichment activities ensure that the Walford learning journey will ignite a lifelong passion of discovery and high aspirations of all of our children:
From joint planning, teaching and learning through to moderation and organised events such as EYFS parent/carer workshops, assemblies, sports days and a range of transition activities, our highly qualified teachers ensure that every child in our preschool is well supported in readiness for their move into our Reception Class.

Staffing
Our nursery is registered with OFSTED for children aged 2-4 years. We are proud of our highly experienced team, including two qualified teachers.
The required staffing ratios outlined within the Statutory Guidance of the Early Years Foundation Stage are as follows:
Parent Partnerships
We work hard to develop strong partnerships with our parents and carers in order to meet the needs of every Walford family.
We welcome open and honest communication, ensuring there is always time to talk at the beginning and end of each day. The sharing of information regarding your child's nursery day happens verbally, in writing and through frequent photographs.
We share our observations of your children with you using an online learning journal called 'Famly'. Parents and carers can access this platform at any time and they can share this information with other family members. In addition, parents and carers will receive regular updates via the school's weekly newsletter.
If you or family members have any time to spare, we are always looking for helpers from our community who can share a range of skills and talents with our wonderful children.
Please telephone the school office on 01989 562209 if you would like to arrange a visit to view our Nursery - you will not be disappointed!
